Why I created this blog...

...because my brother and I trade several emails daily concerning interesting, crazy, sad and otherwise
emotional news. And, we often forward articles to family and friends. So to stop to the continual
forwarding, here's the news and our commentary... let us know what you think too

I might be heavy or even "fat" but that doesn't mean that I'm not healthy

Don't always assume that the fat person sitting next to you is unhealthy. Check yourself first. You might be skinny and look "healthy" but could be more likely to have a heart attack or clogged arteries than the fat person sitting by you.

Researches tell in article by Reuters "Fit and fat: Study shows it's possible."

Yeah this has been in the news from time to time recently. It's really important that folks don't blur the line between appearance and health - especially in our messages to young people. Many of the diets out there do not produce healthy results, although they will help you drop a few (or several few) pounds. Obesity is a problem, childhood obesity is a problem - but obesity must be addressed in a healthy way and for the right reasons - health, not (only) appearance.
