A Story About People Helping People

The Washington Post today shared a story about readers (and perhaps customers of the deceased) who contributed more than $12,000 to a fund set up for the children of a 20-year street vendor known as "Burrito Man" who passed away.

This is a great story of people coming together. Reader comments about whether or not it's okay to include donation information is such a story overwhelming support this idea that we want to help. And if it's not in you to contribute (or you are not able) - that's okay too. But, don't give up - There are good, caring people out there.

We don't know who contributed how much, but I would speculate that many gave just a little.

I guess the courts will decide if this is legitimate

Washington Post covered "Neighborly Ties Gone to the Dogs" today, an article about a Maryland woman who was arrested and faces criminal charges from her and her dogs' trespassing onto her neighbor's yard. While there were apparently several conversations, confrontations and the like prior to the arrest and criminal charges, the whole thing seems a little extreme. What do you think?
