A Story About People Helping People

The Washington Post today shared a story about readers (and perhaps customers of the deceased) who contributed more than $12,000 to a fund set up for the children of a 20-year street vendor known as "Burrito Man" who passed away.

This is a great story of people coming together. Reader comments about whether or not it's okay to include donation information is such a story overwhelming support this idea that we want to help. And if it's not in you to contribute (or you are not able) - that's okay too. But, don't give up - There are good, caring people out there.

We don't know who contributed how much, but I would speculate that many gave just a little.

Don't believe in Santa Claus?

A 9-year-old Texas girl does, and good thing apparently. In a letter she wrote to Santa, she asked that a relative stop touching her and her sister inappropriately. The letter and subsequent interviews led to the relative's arrest on molestation charges. Innocent until proven guilty of course, but what a blessing this wish came even before Christmas day.
