Misdirected finger pointing

Why is it that when Americans across our country and blogosphere express their political views, the Republicans attribute the negative comments to the Obama campaign. Obama cannot help the way other people feel about the McCain/Palin ticket. Obama has run a pretty clean campaign and still quotes like from Maria Comella, a spokeswoman for Palin, tie comments by others to Barack Obama.
