How long is long enough? Maybe it depends on which end of the transplant you are on. Of course we never want the doctors to pull the plug early or give up too soon. On the other hand, don't you want the best organs as fresh as possible if your child is waiting for a transplant.

Wow, that's a really sad and tough issue. I can't image if I were the parent of one of those newborn babies. I'm sure they were not in the room to know how close the timing was, but to find out about it afterward would be very angering, I'm sure.
